Frontline Water Defense

About this Program

Water justice is decided in rooms most residents never hear about. Frontline Water Defense turns that distant policy into a citywide network of local leaders who organize together and respond fast when something breaks.

Members are working on three fronts. Lead service lines, led by Southeast Environmental Task Force and Little Village Environmental Justice Organization. Data centers and their water draw, and flooding, which fills the same basements in the same neighborhoods every storm.

The goal is to organize communities to protect their own water sources and hold polluters accountable directly.

Led by: CEJN members, coordinated by CEJN

Scope: Citywide and statewide
